Well it's officially gotten real now. Someone had to walk the plank and Jerry was the unfortunate sap who drew the short straw. Big Brother is definitely not a kind game, yikes... poor little old grandpa. In spite of his player choice, he was actually super sweet and I'm honestly gonna miss him. I just really hope that I made the right decision... only time will tell I guess.
Before the votes were revealed, Jerry actually approached me, and I decided, kind of on a whim, to just tell him the truth about who I was keeping. Now sometimes that's a big mistake in Big Brother, but I'm not heartless; I felt bad and he'd told me earlier how much he trusted me. I knew that he was expecting my vote, so I didn't want him to feel like he'd gotten sucker punched, or manipulated by me, because that definitely was never my intention. He seemed so surprised that he might not be staying, but he was also really thankful I think that someone was honest with him. It was uncomfortable and depressing, breaking the news to him, but I'm glad that Jerry didn't end up getting blindsided because I'm pretty sure that being blindsided would be the worst possible way to go, especially this early.
Oh, and Chelsia is gone too, but with her, nobody really cares, because she was inactive, AKA she sucked.
I feel like a hypocrite, because when I'm watching Big Brother play out in front of me, I'm always so annoyed by the people who contemplate throwing competitions... but right now, I starting to realize that winning Head of Household could be game suicide for Caleb and me. Famous last words? Ugh, I just don't know! If we throw it and #Ryelle end up winning, #Healeb be in hot water at the end of the week. The last thing I want is to be sitting in those nomination chairs on eviction night, especially while it's guaranteed that one of Caleb or I would go. The flip side is that if we win and the Power of Veto is used... we're definitely going to be screwed heading into the third week. Help! Please give me strength Britney Jean. What the heck are we gonna do?
How lucky! #Leole winning was the absolute best case scenario for this week! At least I think that it was... there's always a shred of doubt I guess, but heck, I'm not even gonna go there right now. The fact that we came in second to them too, is literally perfect. No one can say that we didn't try (which we did, 75% anyway.) If things go according to plan then two of Danielle, Matt and Nathan will be out of this house very soon (preferably the former and the latter.) Then again this is Big Brother, and the best laid plans often go horribly awry... it's whatever though, I'm not doing the whole devil's advocate thing... not yet at least. This is cause for celebration and for now, I'm just gonna keep on dancin' till the world ends.
The Veto Comp today affirmed in everyone's mind that #Ryelle are beasts in these challenges. While I'm pretty confident that in reality Caleb and I are actually stronger than them, the perception of who the physical threats are is what ultimately matters, and right now those two are sticking out like a couple of sore thumbs.
At this point, the million dollar question is whether or not Danielle and Ryan intend to use their Power of Veto. I'm worried that they might be considering it for a couple of reasons. In the past 24 hours I've heard of three people (Danielle, Jessica and Monika) that have been complaining about how weird it is that #Donsie #JennyFromTheBlock isn't one of the nominated pairs Of the three, the two who seem the most vocal about it are Jessica and... surprise, surprise, Danielle.
I don't really get what the big deal is. Of course it makes sense that Jessica would be upset, since she's facing the possibility of eviction right now, but why in the heck does Danielle care so much? She's safe! It's like, if you want #Jenny to go up so bad, then win Head of Household and nominate them yourself.
Danielle is just really starting to get on my nerves. She makes no effort to carry on conversations (she might in fact be less engaging than that pillow of a player Chelsia) and then the way that she tries to act like she has nothing to do with her and Ryan's challenge successes so far, it's just so obviously a put on! When she gets started on one of her 'Ryan the Bionic Man' spiels I literally get the urge to chuck a Golden Raspberry Award at her face... a Worst Supporting Actress one obvi, since the leading lady around these parts is clearly me... but I digress...
Another thing that is super strange and has me on edge right now is Matt's chipper attitude. He seems way too chill for a guy that might very well be walking the plank this week (unless he knows that he's not?) After #Ryelle won, he started talking to me about how peacefully he was going to sleep tonight... like what the heck? And not once has he campaigned for my vote... Jess and Victoria also seemed pretty content with the challenge outcome too... I don't get it. It's all just very strange. Maybe I'm just living in a house of weirdos but it seems as though something is amiss.
If a pair does end up coming off the block, then I would hope that Leo and Nicole are smart enough and have the backbone to nominate #Monisa. Don't get me wrong, I love Luisa, probably more than everyone else combined at this point, minus Caleb, but we'd have the votes to keep Luisa over Monika, and I don't want to get rid of either of Donny or Jessie just yet. The lines are definitely about to be drawn and I just hope that #Leole know that playing 'Big Baby' isn't going to get any of us very far.

I wish that #Ryelle would just hurry up and do whatever it is that they're gonna do with this Veto. If they want to use it on a pair, then by all means, it's their prerogative, they won that ability after all and I mean, honestly, it'd probably be smart of them to try and gain a few allies by using it at this point. I'm coming after them next week if I win Head of Household anyway. Seriously though, Ryan needs to take like five minutes to get his head in the game and either shut Danielle down or let her convince him to save #Matoria. This is like watching paint dry and I'm impatient!
Well today has been really interesting and I think that we finally have a game of Big Brother going on! #Ryelle used their Veto on #Matoria, just as I suspected, and then they both went to work, telling Nicole how suspicious she would look if she didn't put up #JennyFromTheBlock as the replacement pair. I mean give me a break... saving a couple with Veto is a lot more suspect than not nominating a couple, especially at this stage in the game, it's freaking Week 2! Even though it's obvious that the lines are drawn in the sand now and that yes, deals have been made, the logic that they gave was just so incredibly dumb. I think it was all really getting to Nicole though and she was feeling super pressured. She was actually on the verge of nominating Donny, who is in our alliance, just to appease them... I mean LOL, WTF!
Leo wasn't helping things either, because he's... well, he's just Leo, and he's awful and he probably has some sort of deal with Ryan but anyway... it honestly would have been a game killing move for Nicole if she gave them what they wanted. We're talking all sorts of Howie nominating James and Sarah or Kalia nominating Lawon levels of game suiciding. I practically had to slap some sense into the girl and make her realize that putting up two people who won't come after you is the stupidest thing ever! It's not like the other side of the house that's formed isn't going to stay united next week. If anything, getting one of Donny or Jessie out would have simply been doing the other side's work for them. Why would we expedite our own being picked off?
Thank goodness she listened to me in the end and put up #Monisa. At least this way we can hopefully cut Monika and keep Luisa in the game to help us! This is all so nuts.

So the vote may very well tie between Jessica and Nathan, and Leo is actually contemplating keeping Nathan right now, who the other side of the house is trying to save... I mean dude, if you're really with us, why would you even consider keeping the guy who the rest of us plan on evicting? Leo is seriously an all around awful ally and I'm done with him. I need to talk some sense into Victoria or something. Hopefully it doesn't even come down to Leo's vote at this point because he's obviously about as reliable as a dial-up internet connection.
